Davao: Road to Sustainable City
Known for being one of the most sustainable cities and communities around the Philippines, Davao continues to make its way to the top, achieving milestones both in the economic and infrastructural aspect. With their growth booming at a maximum, Davaoeños can really be proud of their elegant biodiversity, their various fruit plantations, as well as their multiple infrastructures and buildings which makes them on their way to the top.
From the humble beginnings of Davao as a small village to a now disruptively growing city, all Davaoeños can attest to how much work, effort, and heart was put on to attain the progress they have gotten so far.
This behavior and attitude to achieve milestones left and right dates back to the leadership of Datu Bago, one of their local heroes, who religiously fought for their city (formerly known as Nueva Vergara), until the time of his defeat. Regardless, he strived to work with the different community members in order to improve the city, make livelihoods sustainable, and invest in each agricultural opportunity, to which we now know as some of the many successes of Davao.
Even until now, we can say how Davao continues to make a name for itself through the different economic activities the city takes part in. With an agile ambition to build and succeed, we can say that this faraway town is on its way to becoming a super city.
Through their products and services which varies from different fruits like mangoes, bananas, mangosteens, and the very well-known Davao durian to their numerous picturesque tourist spot destinations like Mt. Apo, Pearl Farm Resort, Crocodile Farms, and more, we can say that Davao is truly a rich city – rich in culture, in ambition, and in progress.
With the vibrant and thriving culture of our fellow Davaoeños, PHILBEX Davao 2019 is thriving for the same ambition to build a better Davao city by creating a platform for the construction and design industry.
